For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...
Mark 10:45

Serve in our church
Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.
Serving as a volunteer at New Life Church isn’t just filling a position — it’s stepping into a calling.
It means choosing to be part of what God is building, not just attending what God is doing.
At New Life, we don’t see volunteers as “helpers.” We see you as ministers.
Because Scripture is clear: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.” (1 Peter 4:10)
So when you serve, you’re not:
• just holding a door — you’re welcoming someone into hope
• just watching kids — you’re shaping the next generation’s faith
• just running slides — you’re helping create an atmosphere for worship
• just parking cars — you’re setting the tone for someone’s first impression of Jesus
You’re creating space for life change.
Serving here means:
1. Ownership, not obligation
You don’t serve because you have to. You serve because this is your house. We take care of what belongs to us.
2. Ministry, not maintenance
Every role is spiritual. Every team is ministry. Every Sunday is mission work.
3. Excellence with heart
We give God our best — not perfection, but preparation, passion, and faithfulness.
4. People over positions
Tasks matter, but people matter more. We serve programs so we can reach people.
5. Growth while giving
As you serve others, God shapes you. Some of the deepest spiritual growth happens on a team, not just in a seat.
If I had to say it simply:
At New Life, volunteering means
loving God by loving people with your time, your gifts, and your heart.
It’s not “helping the church.”
It’s being the church.
It means choosing to be part of what God is building, not just attending what God is doing.
